Rep. Bierlein invites winter photo contest winner to Lansing

PHOTO INFORMATION: State Rep. Matthew Bierlein, of Vassar, recently invited Mary Jo Tanner of Birch Run to Lansing after Tanner’s photo won first place in a winter photo contest hosted by the representative.

Tanner is a fourth-grade teacher at North Elementary in Birch Run. Her photo was of the Beyer Road Bridge in Frankenmuth.

The contest was open to people across the 97^th House District, which encompasses several communities in Bay, Genesee, Saginaw and Tuscola counties.

Tanner was presented with a tribute and tour of the state Capitol. Her photograph has been framed and will be displayed in Rep. Bierlein’s office.
