State Rep. Alicia St. Germaine, R-Harrison Township, has been selected by her colleagues to serve as Republican caucus vice chair for the 2027-28 Michigan House legislative session.
“I am honored to have been selected by my colleagues to serve in this important leadership position,” St. Germaine said. “As someone who spent 25 years working alongside Michigan small-business owners and their employees, I understand the challenges hardworking families face every day. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance commonsense solutions, protect taxpayers and make Michigan a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
As caucus vice chair, St. Germaine will help develop the caucus agenda while assisting with policy development. She will also work alongside fellow Republican leaders to advance legislative priorities and strengthen collaboration among caucus members.
St. Germaine was first elected to the Michigan House in November 2022. She represents the 62nd House District, which includes Fraser, Harrison Township and portions of Chesterfield Township, Clinton Township, Roseville and St. Clair Shores.
Before joining the Legislature, St. Germaine spent 25 years working with Michigan small businesses. Since taking office in 2023, she has championed bipartisan legislation to improve Lake St. Clair water quality, strengthen local control, increase transparency in government spending and reduce red tape. She has also sponsored legislation to prevent the misuse of Flock license plate reader data and helped secure critical funding for Selfridge Air National Guard Base’s new runway and local water infrastructure improvements. She currently serves as vice chair of the House Natural Resources and Tourism Committee and as a member of the House Education and Workforce, Health Policy and Economic Competitiveness committees.
