PHOTO INFORMATION: State Rep. Julie Alexander of Hanover welcomed A.J. Fielder (center), a fifth grade student at Hanover-Horton Elementary School, to the Capitol on Tuesday as her most recent Student Legislator of the Month. Rep. Alexander, a former educator, regularly provides a lesson on government to local students. This month, A.J. Fielder was selected as a student legislator and invited to Lansing to experience life as a representative. He sat in on a Transportation committee meeting, visited the governor’s office, and toured the Capitol. He was joined by his parents Andrew and Cookie Fielder and friends Zander (left) and Nick.
