As your State Representative, my top priority is ensuring the safety, well-being, and quality of life for our community. That’s why I am glad to support two vital infrastructure projects that will make a lasting difference for Oakland Township residents:
1. Preservation Overlay Project on Stoney Creek Road and Snell Road
Resurfacing and preservation of Stoney Creek Road and Snell Road between Orion Road and Rochester Road will extend the lifespan of these critical roadways, improve safety for drivers, and reduce long-term costs by addressing maintenance needs before they become major issues.
2. Culvert Replacement on Orion Road over Paint Creek
In addition, I am advocating for the full replacement of the aging culvert under Orion Road, east of Adams Road, where it crosses Paint Creek. This upgrade is essential to prevent potential flooding, ensure the safety of all who travel this route, and protect the sensitive ecosystem of Paint Creek—a true natural asset for our area.
Why These Projects Matter:
● Protecting Public Safety: Well-maintained roads and bridges are fundamental to keeping our families, school buses, and emergency vehicles safe.
● Supporting Our Economy: Reliable infrastructure is key for local businesses, job growth, and everyday travel.
● Preserving Our Environment: Investing in modern, environmentally sound infrastructure safeguards our unique natural resources for future generations.
I want to thank our elected officials in Oakland County for your engagement and support. Rest assured, I will continue to fight for infrastructure improvements that strengthen our infrastructure and move our community forward.
If you have questions about these projects or any other state issue, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office. Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for Oakland Township.
Sincerely,
State Representative Josh Schriver, District 66
