State Rep. Andrew Fink, of Adams Township, issued the following statement after severe storms caused power outages and damage to property throughout Branch and Hillsdale Counties Wednesday:
“My thoughts and prayers are with the families and individuals across our communities who were impacted by last night’s severe storms and resulting power outages. I’m thankful to the first responders, health care workers, storm damage cleanup professionals, tow truck drivers, and all other workers in our area who are working tirelessly to care for those in need and restore power to our community during this difficult time.”
State Rep. Andrew Fink, of Adams Township, announced the state budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1 received final approval from the Legislature today and includes measures to protect personal freedoms related to vaccination and limit overreach from local health officers.
Legislators invited first responders and members of the military from their communities to be their guests for the service. The ceremony included the ringing of a fire bell for those who died in the line of duty throughout Michigan in the past year.
State Rep. Andrew Fink, of Adams Township, is calling on the state’s Unemployment Insurance Agency to provide an explanation after a review letter from the federal government revealed additional problems in how UIA has operated.
