Dear Neighbor,

The stakes are high: the current administration’s actions over the past 4.5 years reveal a desire to transform Michigan into a socialist state.  Socialism has led to the loss of life and freedom in countries like Australia, Canada and European nations – countries that used to be some of the freest countries in the world. In some countries, it led to Communism and Fascism.

We’ve all heard “that could never happen here”, yet history has a tendency to repeat itself unless true wisdom is bravely applied.  In Michigan, one business owner in particular was put in jail for keeping her business open during our government’s COVID lockdowns.  A local pastor in Canada was threatened with fines up to $100,000 and 1 year in jail for having large church services during their government’s COVID lockdowns. Even SWAT teams were deployed in Alberta to arrest and imprison a pastor for redressing his grievances to the government.

In many ways, Michigan is ground zero for the battle for the future of the land of the free and the home of the brave. If there is little public pushback over Unconstitutional Bills, then tyranny will prevail. If we have the same resolve our Founding Fathers did to stand up for freedom and liberty, then we can change the direction of our state (and our nation) for the better.  Each one of us can make a unique, meaningful impact unlike any other! Sometimes, all it takes is for us to be strong and courageous to stand up for what’s right.

As your State Representative, I will continue to stand up for our freedoms and oppose any policies that violate your Constitutional rights – your freedom to speak, defend yourself, practice religion, redress grievances to your government and actively use all of your God-given, unalienable rights.
