Whiteford joins colleagues for Action Plan unveiling
RELEASE|February 20, 2019

State Rep. Mary Whiteford, of Casco Township, joined her colleagues on Tuesday for a press conference outlining the priorities that will guide House Republicans over the next two years.

Whiteford said she’s encouraged by the inclusion of priorities such as reforming auto insurance, improving health care access and expanding rural broadband in the 2019-2020 plan.

“We must set our sights on making Michigan the best place to work, play – and most importantly – raise a family,” Whiteford said. “That means focusing on overhauling our state’s broken auto insurance system, and doing all we can to make health care, and especially mental health care, as affordable and accessible as possible. I’m so pleased to see rural communities like ours represented in the plan. Everyone needs access to fast and reliable internet, no matter where they live.”

The entire House Republican Action Plan is available to the public on the Michigan House Republican website.
