Watch Rep. Schroeder’s first Facebook Live town hall meeting:
State Rep. Andrea Schroeder this week held the Michigan Legislature’s first-ever Facebook Live town hall event with special guest Rep. Jack O’Malley, chair of the House Transportation Committee, to discuss road funding and the future of Michigan’s infrastructure.
Rep. Schroeder answered multiple questions from the live feed on Facebook that has reached over 1,000 views.
Discussion topics included the governor’s massive 45-cent per gallon gas tax increase proposal, new record funding for roads in the House-approved budget proposal, and how road funds and materials are used in Michigan.
“It’s important to understand the complexity of planning and designing our state’s roads and the impact crumbling roads have on our residents,” said Schroeder, of Independence Township. “This unique town hall meeting gave people the opportunity to ask questions and voice their concerns in the comfort of their own home.”
A recording of the live stream is available above and can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/StateRepSchroeder/
“I encourage people who were not able to participate in the live discussion to watch the recording on my Facebook page,” Schroeder said. “If you still have questions, please feel free to contact my office at any time.”
