Theis testifies on plan setting consent requirements for invasive medical procedures

Her testimony before the House Law and Justice Committee outlined requirements that the medical treatment be within the professional’s scope of practice, have another health care professional in the room during the procedure, and have written consent on a standardized form from a person authorized by law to provide consent, such as the child’s parent.
