State Rep. Laura Cox was joined by fellow lawmaker state Sen. Tonya Schuitmaker, daughter Sinèad Cox and other Michigan university students at the ‘Let’s End Campus Assault’ summit today to promote awareness of sexual assault on Michigan’s college campuses.
“Just as their sign states, these students want to make a difference at their universities,” said Rep. Cox, R-Livonia. “Building awareness for this issue is the key to ending campus assaults. By providing young girls the tools that they need to understand and stop these horrible crimes, we can work hard to see that campus sexual assaults are a thing of the past.”
The “Let’s End Campus Assault” campaign is the first of its kind on a statewide level.
