“The governor’s speech tonight gave a great overview of our accomplishments and how far our state has come in the past two years. Although we have made great strides and established a solid foundation, there is still much more work to do to revitalize our economy and get more Michigan residents back to work. I remain focused on making our state a better place to live and work, so that our children and grandchildren will no longer have to leave to get a good job.

“I agree with the governor that our state can do more to help taxpayers and I look forward to continuing to find ways to help make state government be more effective, transparent and accountable. We can and will continue to eliminate unnecessary regulations, streamline government and budget state dollars efficiently. Fiscal responsibility and delivering results for our residents are top priorities for me and I look forward to continuing these efforts and working with the governor this term.”
