State Rep. Nancy Jenkins was first elected in November 2010 to the Michigan House to represent the 57th District. The 57th District includes most of Lenawee County including the cities of Adrian, Hudson, Morenci and Tecumseh as well as the townships of Adrian, Blissfield, Clinton, Deerfield, Dover, Fairfield, Franklin, Hudson, Macon, Madison, Medina, Ogden, Palmyra, Raisin, Ridgeway, Riga, Rollin, Rome, Seneca, Tecumseh and Woodstock.

Jenkins graduated with honors from Evangel University in 1986 and went on to earn a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Toledo in 1991.

Jenkins has served as a real estate title examiner with Southern Metropolitan Title Company, the American Title Company, and as an independent title examiner with Investor Title Insurance Company. She has worked as a public relations assistant at the Christian Family Centre in Adrian and as a research assistant at Michigan Family Forum in Lansing.

For seven years, Nancy worked on behalf of Lenawee County residents as the district representative for State Sen. Cameron Brown.

Jenkins resides in Dover Township and has been actively involved in the Lenawee County community, serving on the Republican Executive Committee, Citizen Advisory Committee on the Law Enforcement Center and chair of the Vote Yes on Law Enforcement Center Campaign.

Rep. Jenkins is a member of the House Appropriations Committee and serves as chair of the appropriations subcommittee on Military and Veterans Affairs. She also serves as vice chair of the subcommittees on Michigan State Police and agriculture and rural development. In addition, Rep. Jenkins is a member of the subcommittee on natural resources and joint capital outlay.
