Jeff is a small business owner who was first elected to the Michigan House in November 2010 to represent the 30th District, including the city of Utica and parts of Sterling Heights and Shelby Charter Township. He was re-elected to a second term for the 2013-14 Michigan Legislature and a third term for the 2015-16 session.
Farrington chairs the House Committee on Tax Policy and is a member of the committees on Financial Liability Reform, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Workforce and Talent Development.
He grew up in Utica, Mich. and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration as well as a Master’s in the Science of Management from Walsh College.
From college, he went on to serve as vice president of a national staffing firm before accomplishing his dream of owning his own business. Since then, he has turned his attention to helping create a culture of job creation in the state.
