State Rep. Jim Tedder of Clarkston invites residents to join him for local office hours during the month of August at the following times and locations:
- Friday, Aug 18 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Great Lakes Family Restaurant, 5834 Highland Road in Waterford Township
- Monday, Aug. 28 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Leo’s Coney Island, 6325 Sashabaw Road in the Village of Clarkston.

State Rep. Jim Tedder was first elected to serve the 43rd District in the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2014. The 43rd District encompasses part of Oakland County including part of Waterford Township, the city of Lake Angelus, the village of Clarkston city and Independence Township.
Tedder serves as the chair of the Tax Policy Committee as well as the vice chair of the Health Policy Committee. He is also a member of the Energy Policy and Communications and Technology committees.
Tedder graduated from Central Michigan University with an Applied Arts degree, double majoring in Political Science and Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. He also holds the degrees of Master of Business Administration and Education Specialist, both from Oakland University.
Jim Tedder is the owner of Jim Tedder Productions. In addition, he has served as a school teacher and administrator since 2005.
PUBLIC OFFICES AND AFFILIATIONS
As a businessman Jim has served the community as a member of the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years and as a lecturer to graduate business students through the Department of Marketing and Management at Oakland University. Jim has also served as a youth mentor through Clarkston Area Youth Assistance, Cubmaster to a local Cub Scouts pack and as a youth and middle school wrestling coach.
Jim was raised and still resides in the Clarkston area, where he now lives with his wife Nancy and their three school-age children.
