Remaining funds within county road investment program to be used

State Rep. Doug Wozniak, of Shelby Township, today announced remaining funds from Macomb County’s Priority Roads Investment Program (PRIP) will be allocated toward improving a portion of 32 Mile Road.

Wozniak, alongside Sen. Peter Lucido and Bryan Santo, director of the Macomb County Department of Roads, submitted a request to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in July to use the remaining PRIP fund totaling $41,000 to resurface 32 Mile Road from Dequindre Road to Fisher Road.

“I’m pleased to announce the request we submitted to MDOT has been approved in full and work on 32 Mile Road will commence soon,” Wozniak said. “This is an important project that will bring much-needed improvements to a major roadway artery in Bruce and Washington Townships.”

Wozniak said Macomb County residents may visit roads.macombgov.org for more information on road improvement projects and other transportation related issues affecting the community.
