State Rep. Doug Wozniak has been appointed by Speaker Lee Chatfield to serve on the House Commerce and Tourism Committee in 2020.

The committee typically examines legislation related to advertisers, commercial activity, consumer protection, economic development, technology, workforce issues, and other areas. Wozniak said his experience as a small business owner and practicing attorney at his own law firm will help him with this new role.

“I look forward to serving on this committee,” Wozniak said. “I am passionate about promoting Michigan and its economy and look forward to this new experience.”

Wozniak, who served 10 years as a Shelby Township trustee, also continues to serve as the vice chair of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, and as a member of the Communications and Technology, Families, Children and Seniors, Health Policy, and Judiciary committees.

Residents may contact Wozniak’s office by calling 517-373-0843 or emailing [email protected].
