Rep. Whiteford invites residents to town hall meeting on road funding
RELEASE|August 1, 2019

State Rep. Mary Whiteford of Casco Township will co-host a town hall meeting with Rep. Bradley Slagh of Zeeland on Monday, August 19 to provide an update on the recently passed auto insurance reform legislation and hold a larger discussion on road funding.

“The House recently passed a bipartisan solution to reform our state’s broken auto insurance system and guarantee savings for every Michigan driver,” Rep. Whiteford said. “We hope you’ll join us to learn more about these reforms, as well as hear our plan to fix roads without a 45-cent per gallon tax hike.”

Joining will be special guest Rep. Jack O’Malley. O’Malley chairs the House Transportation Committee and has been traveling to different parts of the state discussing road funding directly with residents.

“This forum is meant to be an opportunity to ask questions and share your thoughts,” Rep. Whiteford said. “We want to hear from you and take your input back to Lansing.”

The town hall will take place in the Council Chamber at Holland City Hall, 270 S. River Ave. in Holland. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with time for questions from those in attendance. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

If you would like more information, or to RSVP, please contact Rep. Whiteford’s office at 517-373-0836 or [email protected].
