Rep. Wendzel participates in roundtable with Vice President Pence
RELEASE|September 24, 2019

State Rep. Pauline Wendzel joined a select group of state leaders including Speaker Lee Chatfield, Speaker Pro Tempore Jason Wentworth, Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, and U.S. Senate Candidate John James for a private Community Leader Meeting with Vice President Mike Pence.

“It was an honor and a privilege to attend this meeting with the Vice President,” Rep. Wendzel said. “He was familiar with our district, being that our County borders his home state, and was interested in hearing about the unique issues we are facing in Southwest Michigan.”

After addressing the crowd at the convention, Vice President Pence invited select legislators to participate in a private roundtable discussion to talk about ways the Administration can partner with the State of Michigan. “The Vice President reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to issues that our community cares about such as infrastructure and protecting the Great Lakes,” Wendzel said. “I appreciate the Administration’s commitment to our State, and I look forward to a productive working relationship to ensure Michigan becomes an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
