PHOTO INFORMATION: State Rep. Jim Tedder, R-Clarkston, greets Pearl Harbor survivor Don Bloomfield, 95, of Midland, on the House floor. Bloomfield, who was a 20-year-old soldier on Oahu when the bombing occurred, was given a special tribute and introduced on the House floor before receiving a standing ovation. “I was at the Lion’s Thanksgiving game this year where Mr. Bloomfield was honored in front of 60,000 people, so meeting him in this capacity is pretty special,” said Rep. Tedder. “Not only is this a day to remember the lives lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor, it is a day to honor those who survived, and thank them for their courage in the line of duty.”
