Takes office as State Representative of the 72nd District
On Opening Day of the 99th Michigan Legislature, State Representative Steve Johnson was sworn into office by Michigan Supreme Court Justice Stephen Markman with his family at his side.
“I’m optimistic about what we will be able to accomplish in Lansing,” said Rep. Johnson, R-Wayland. “With a staff dedicated to helping me assist constituents and a conservative Republican leadership, I am working to bring the voices of the residents of the 72nd District to the forefront of Michigan policymaking.”
Rep. Johnson’s district includes Dorr Township, Leighton Township, City of Wayland and Wayland Township in Allegan County as well as Gaines Township and City of Kentwood in Kent County.
