State Rep. Jim Runestad received the “Library Champion” award from the Michigan Library Association on Jan. 11.
“It’s a great honor to receive this award from the Michigan Library Association,” Rep. Runestad said. “Libraries serve a vital role in our local communities and I will keep fighting for their continued support and funding.”
The Michigan Library Association awards state legislators on an annual basis, recognizing their involvement and commitment to local libraries. Rep. Runestad was honored as a 2016 “Library Champion” for his leadership in promoting legislation that invests in Michigan libraries and ensures their availability for future residents.
