State Rep. Jim Runestad of White Lake joined colleagues today at the Capitol to unveil the 2017-2018 House Republican Action Plan, which is the guiding document for the upcoming legislative session.

“Our society is only as strong as our most vulnerable population and the House Republican Action Plan outlines the need to place people above politics,” said Runestad. “Seniors, dependent adults and children deserve to live in a place where they feel safe, are encouraged to thrive, and valued in their homes and communities.”

Rep. Runestad was also recently named chair of the House Judiciary Committee.

“As Judiciary Chair I’m focused on protecting our constitutional rights, civil liberties, privacy rights and due process for all citizens across the state whether they are dealing with a criminal or civil matter,” said Runestad. “I’m also avidly seeking ways to improve state processes for families seeking justice in the courts.”
