State Rep. Brad Paquette of Berrien Springs reminded area residents that he will be hosting a town hall meeting with special guest Rep. Jack O’Malley of Lake Ann on Monday, July 8 to discuss road funding in Michigan.

“The legislature is getting closer to a comprehensive plan to fix the roads that focuses on innovation and responsible investment,” Rep. Paquette said. “I hope you will join us to learn more about the issue and our ideas to fix it.”

Rep. O’Malley chairs the House Transportation Committee and is traveling to different parts of the state discussing road funding directly with local residents. Also participating will be Senator Kim LaSata, vice chair of the Senate Transportation Committee.

The town hall will take place at the Niles District Library, 620 E. Main St. on July 8th. The event will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. with time for questions from those in attendance. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
