State Rep. Mike Mueller of Linden celebrated March is Reading Month by reading to 315 students at five local schools.

“Reading is critical to a child’s development,” Rep. Mueller said. “It is our responsibility to show young people the importance of reading and instill a love for books. When we invest in them this way, we give our young people a head-start to a successful education and future. I hope you will continue reading to the children in your life throughout the year.”

March is Reading Month is an annual educational program designed to recognize the importance of reading inside and outside of the classroom.
