Rep. McCready announces arts funding for local schools

Rep. Mike McCready today announced a grant award of $12,000 to the Bloomfield Hills School District from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

“I’m pleased that local schools will benefit from our state’s investment in arts education programs, and I commend the Bloomfield Hills School District for securing this important funding,” McCready said.

The grant funds educational programs designed to enhance student knowledge and participation in particular art forms such as theatre, dance, creative writing and music. Grants are awarded up to $20,000 to registered educational institutions, including public and non-public schools, licensed daycare providers and school districts.
