State Rep. Steve Marino welcomes all to attend a town hall meeting on Monday, Oct. 8 discussing concerns over possible PFAS contamination of drinking water and the conditions of Lake St. Clair.

“The safety of our drinking water and preservation of our lakes and rivers is a high priority of mine as your state legislator,” Rep. Marino said. “I encourage residents to join the conversation on how to move forward with common-sense solutions.”

Those invited to speak include: Federal, state, and local government officials; representatives from Selfridge Air National Guard Base; representatives from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality; the Macomb County Health Department; the Macomb County Public Works Department; and other experts on the topic.

The town hall takes place at MacRay Harbor at 30675 N. River Road in Harrison Charter Township. The event begins at 6 p.m., with an informal opportunity for residents to speak one-on-one with representatives of the invited organizations. A panel discussion by local legislators will take place from 7-9 p.m., with time for questions from those in attendance.
