LANSING – The state House of Representatives today honored Don Bloomfield, who is one of the few living Michigan-based survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor, with a standing ovation on the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
Bloomfield, 95 and a resident of Midland, was introduced on the House floor and given a special tribute.
“It was my honor to meet Don on this special day,” said Rep. Peter Lucido, R-Shelby Township. “Pearl Harbor is a day our country must never forget. We must always remember and respect the sacrifices made by Don Bloomfield and all veterans for this country.”
