Rep. Kahle announces white ribbon campaign to support, honor medical professionals and first responders fighting COVID-19
RELEASE|April 17, 2020

Rep. Bronna Kahle of Adrian today announced a campaign to honor and support the health care workers and first responders on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19.

Rep. Kahle asks residents of the 57th House District – which includes most of Lenawee County – to let her know about local doctors, nurses, paramedics, hospital workers, police, firefighters and others who have been working to keep the community safe during the pandemic. She also asks residents to show their support by placing a white ribbon in their yards or the windows of their homes.

“Many of us have been at home doing our part to limit the spread of coronavirus by not interacting with our families, friends and neighbors,” Rep. Kahle said. “The brave men and women in health care, emergency response and law enforcement do not have that option. They are confronting disease and death every day to try and keep the rest of us healthy and safe. Let’s come together as a united Lenawee community to show our appreciation and gratitude for all they have done and continue to do.”

The white ribbon campaign was inspired by a similar effort at Henry Ford Health System.
In addition, Rep. Kahle wants to hear about Lenawee County health care workers and emergency responders so they may be honored by Rep. Kahle and the state of Michigan with a special tribute.

“It’s so important to honor these dedicated, selfless workers who are on the front lines to protect us,” Rep. Kahle said. “A special tribute from the state is one way to let them know they are truly appreciated for their service to our community, state and country.”

Please send the name, occupation and contact information of those working to keep the community healthy to Rep. Kahle at [email protected] or N-991 House Office Building, P.O. Box 30014, Lansing, MI 48909. The office phone number is (517) 373-1706.

The 57th District includes most of Lenawee County, including the cities of Adrian, Hudson, Morenci and Tecumseh as well as the villages and townships of Adrian, Blissfield, Clinton, Deerfield, Dover, Fairfield, Franklin, Hudson, Macon, Madison, Medina, Ogden, Palmyra, Raisin, Ridgeway, Riga, Rollin, Rome, Seneca, Tecumseh and Woodstock.
