State Rep. Julie Alexander today kicked off her March is Reading Month tour. As part of March is Reading Month, the lawmaker will visit local schools throughout the district and read to students, encouraging them to take a lifelong interest in reading.
Rep. Alexander wants to inspire and encourage students to pick up a book and let their imaginations do the rest.
“A love for reading will benefit children their entire lives,” said Rep. Alexander. “I hope students see books as both a source of great entertainment, and information as their education advances.”
