State Representative Brad Jacobsen of Oxford was the honorary speaker at the Michigan Downtown Association’s first annual “Lansing Day” event held at the Capitol.

Rep. Jacobsen spoke to downtown development authority (DDA) leaders from across the state to highlight current legislation affecting local communities throughout Michigan.

“It was a great opportunity to talk with many DDA officials about furthering economic development in their local communities,” Rep. Jacobsen said. “As a former chair of the Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority myself, I understand the importance of strengthening our downtowns in order to better serve our residents.”

Rep. Jacobsen recognized the members of the Michigan Downtown Association on the House floor to mark the start of session.
