State Rep. Beth Griffin today announced The Village of Paw Paw has been selected as the recipient of a Recreational Passport grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Funding in the amount of $61,500 will be used to develop a universally accessible boat launch and install a natural shoreline at Sunset Park. Funds from the grant will also be used to improve the parking lot.
“The work at Sunset Park demonstrates a great partnership between the Village of Paw Paw and the State of Michigan,” Griffin said. “This is a great example of working together to make great projects like this come to fruition. This type of collaboration provides better use of taxpayer dollars and promotes real community partnerships.”
