RELEASE|January 17, 2019

Rep. Annette Glenn has been selected to serve on the House Appropriations Committee for the 2019-20 legislative term. Speaker Lee Chatfield announced the assignments this week.

The House Appropriations Committee and its subcommittees are responsible for helping determine the state budget. This committee is key to the implementation of public policies that have significant impact on the state’s budget.

Glenn will serve as vice chair for the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee and vice chair of the Department of Natural Resources and Department of Environmental Quality Subcommittee. Additionally, she will serve as a member of the Health and Human Services Subcommittee as well as the School Aid Subcommittee.

“I am honored to have been chosen to help craft the state budget through these important subcommittees,” Glenn said. “I am committed to fiscal responsibility and to working with my colleagues to achieve the best value for every taxpayer dollar.”

Glenn, of Midland, is in her first term as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives.
