State Rep. Ben Glardon, R-Owosso, was joined by special guest Sergeant Brian Begole from Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Department for the annual Michigan House of Representatives 9/11 Memorial Service today.

House representatives invited guests, including first responders and military members, from their districts to join them in remembering the victims and heroes of 9/11, and honoring the men and woman serving today.

“I am very honored to be joined by Sergeant Begole today in the House,” Rep. Glardon said. “He and all the first responders across this country deserve our respect, and today we are reminded of the great sacrifices First Responders,  military members and their families make to protect us.”

The ceremony marked the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, and honored military members and servicemen. The names of 12 first responders and three military members from Michigan who died in the line of duty during the past year were read during the ceremony.
