Michigan House approves measure to help fix state’s infrastructure
The Michigan House today approved legislation introduced by state Rep. Ben Frederick to help counties, cities and villages by giving them access to additional funds to fix roads.
Frederick’s plan clarifies the ability to fund road projects from the State Infrastructure Bank.
“This plan helps communities with additional road funding they can receive immediately.” said Frederick, of Owosso “It provides another tool in our ongoing effort to make roads smoother and safer across the state.”
The reform was brought forward to Rep. Frederick by the Village of Morrice in Shiawassee County.
House Bill 6087 now moves to the Senate for consideration.
