For the entirety of her first year in office as a state representative, Rep. Laura Cox didn’t miss a single vote in 2015.
“I take this position and the duties it entails as a very serious responsibility,” said Rep. Cox, R-Livonia. “When I was first elected to be a representative for our community, I made a commitment to ensure that all of our voices are heard on every issue.”
In addition to making tough decisions on all 504 roll-call votes in 2015, Rep. Cox continues to serve as chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government, vice chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Judiciary and as a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Rep. Cox said her efforts are focused on creating sensible legislation that moves Michigan forward.
“Legislation is often very difficult to create. Introducing a single bill can warrant weeks, or even months of preparation,” Rep. Cox said. “I’m extremely proud of my work on all seven pieces of legislation that I’ve introduced this year.”
