State Rep. Triston Cole, of Mancelona, joined fellow lawmakers today at the Capitol to unveil the 2017-2018 House Republican Action Plan, which is the guiding document for the upcoming legislative session.

“There are many things to consider as we continue to make Michigan great again and this Action Plan serves not as checklist, but rather as an insightful guide to addressing the issues that matter most to Michiganders,” Cole said. “As chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I know that I will be tackling many problems across the state and my hope is that my colleagues and I can improve the lives of Michigan residents by ensuring our main modes of transportation are strong, safe and secure for future generations to come.”

“We need to prioritize, we need to make sure that we’re putting our resources into asphalt and concrete,” Cole said. “We have a lot of things that I would call very nice, such as cameras and landscaping projects, those are very nice, but folks are very intent on fixing our roads.”
