State Rep. Triston Cole will welcome student Miss Grace Moody to the Capitol to be a Rep. for a Day and experience the life of a Michigan state representative.

Local students entered the contest by reading books over the summer, filling out a bookmark with their name and the list of books that they read, and returning it to their local library.

Grace, a first-grader at Grace Baptist Christian School, read a total of 1,221 pages over the course of the summer.

“I was impressed with how much Grace read and am glad we had this opportunity to provide an incentive for summer reading,” Rep. Cole said. “I want to thank all the students who participated. I was delighted by the number of entries we received and I am looking forward to hosting Miss Moody and her family at the Capitol.”
