State Rep. Julie Calley, of Portland, today was appointed vice chair of the Michigan House’s Elections and Ethics Committee by Speaker Tom Leonard.
Calley also will be a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, as well as the Health Policy Committee and the Agriculture Committee.
“I’m excited to be in a leadership role maintaining the integrity and transparency of Michigan’s elections and state government,” Calley said of her vice chair appointment for the House’s 2017-18 session.
Calley is starting her first term in the Michigan House.
“Roads, health policy, agriculture – every one of these topics is of great importance to the future of our state,” Calley said. “We’re working to build the Michigan you deserve, and these committees are a vital part of getting that work done.”
