Rep. Brann continues to serve key role in Michigan’s budget process
RELEASE|January 17, 2019

State Rep. Tommy Brann has been appointed by Speaker Lee Chatfield to serve on the House Appropriations Committee during the 2019-20 legislative session.

Brann, of Wyoming, will chair the House’s Judiciary Subcommittee, which is charged with setting the budgets for Michigan’s court systems, as well as the Judicial Tenure Commission and the State Appellate Defender’s Office.

“As a restaurant owner for more than 47 years, I know the challenges of watching my small business costs and meeting payroll. I will continue to go through the state budget line-by-line to ensure our citizens are getting the most out of each and every hard-earned tax dollar,” Brann said. “When I’m in Appropriations Committee, I think of the over 90,000 people I represent, my employees, and my blue collar restaurant. They all mean a lot to me.”

Additionally, Brann will serve on the Military, Veterans Affairs and State Police; General Government; and Transportation budget subcommittees.

Residents may contact Brann at (517) 373-2277 or [email protected].
