State Rep. Ann Bollin issued the following statement after the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association raised the per-insured-vehicle assessment to $220 for the 2019-2020 period.

“We need to stop playing games with family budgets. The increase in the MCCA fee is yet one more example of how responsible Michiganders are being held hostage because of politics. The issue of no-fault auto insurance reform is not new. The 100th Legislature and governor pledged to work in a bipartisan manner to lower auto insurance rates, now let’s get it done for the people we represent. It is time for a substantial reform or repeal package to be presented to the full Legislature for a vote. Let your voice continue to be heard at www.ReduceMiRatesNow.com.
