State Rep. Ann Bollin, of Brighton Township, issued the following statement after the governor’s State of the State address:
“It was a pleasure to hear Governor Whitmer’s State of the State address. She talked about Michigan’s greatest challenges. I couldn’t agree more with “fix the damn roads,” but let’s make sure this is accomplished in the most fiscally responsible way, not on the backs of Michigan’s workers.
“PFAS contamination is a danger to all of us and I was glad to hear the governor discuss it. Clean drinking water should be a priority for all Michiganders.
“I also appreciated the governor acknowledging the importance of lowering Michigan’s no-fault auto insurance rates. Michigan has the highest automobile insurance rates in the country and the Legislature needs to act now to address this issue.
“I am confident that we can all work together to continue to make Michigan the great state that it is.”
