Recently, Ford Motor Company announced its plans to expand production at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant, which will add 900 jobs and investing $900 million at the location.

State Rep. Joe Bellino of Monroe commended the investment and expressed his optimism for the community following the announcement.

“The past few months for auto workers in our community have been tough, but Ford’s most recent announcement has created some much-needed optimism,” Rep. Bellino said. “In adding 900 jobs and investing hundreds of millions of dollars in Flat Rock, Ford has doubled-down on their commitment to be a partner with our community. We are also excited to see the technology advancements planned as part of an effort to produce the company’s next-generation electric vehicles.”
