Lawmaker hosts “Driving the Solution,” a town hall on roads

State Rep. Lynn Afendoulis today announced she will host “Driving the Solution,” a town hall on May 6 to discuss Michigan roads with residents. Special guest will be Michigan Department of Transportation Director Paul. C. Ajegba.

“From environmental concerns to traffic patterns during and post-construction and from materials use to noise, road design and construction and road funding are exceedingly complex issues,” said Afendoulis, who serves on the House Transportation Committee and is a resident of Grand Rapids Township. “I’m honored that Director Ajegba has agreed to address our residents and answer questions. It is a great opportunity for the people of the 73rd district to get their questions answered.”

The town hall is to be held at Grand Rapids Charter Township Offices, 1836 East Beltline Ave. NE. Rep. Afendoulis will be available to speak with residents from 6 to 7 p.m. An open discussion with Director Ajegba is to take place from 7 to 8 p.m.

All community residents are invited to attend and no registration is necessary.
