Rep. Miller, who oversees the House budget committee on the Michigan State Police, talks about how the Department’s 2018 budget includes almost 1.9 million dollars to enhance forensic science services as they relate to controlled substances and firearms.  Rep. Miller points out that while the budget provides for the training of 150 new troopers, improved forensic services are a less-visible but important line item that will help communities in every corner of the state.
