Montague National Champion joins Rep. VanWoerkom at state Capitol

PHOTO INFORMATION: Allison Tate, of Montague, joined Rep. VanWoerkom at the state Capitol for Wednesday’s House session. Tate, a student at Whitehall High School, received first place in the Junior Individual Exhibit at the 45th annual National History Day Contest. Her project, A Bitter Pill to Swallow: Dr. Kelsey’s Triumph Hides an American Tragedy, earned her the distinction of being the first national champion from Michigan in the last 20 years.
