Meijer plans to welcome 10,000 new employees to their workforce to assist with the rush of the holiday season. Nearly half of the newly created positions will be in Michigan, with about 1,000 of them in the Grand Rapids area. That’s 10 percent more job openings this year when compared to last year’s hiring rate. Meijer stores across the state are looking to fill retail and specialty positions – such as cake decorators and meat cutters – with eager job seekers.
More new job opportunities for Michigan residents will keep our state on the path to a brighter future.
