State Reps. Kim LaSata, Beth Griffin, and Aaron Miller joined State Sen. John Proos in welcoming the Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren County Area Agency on Aging to the state Capitol to celebrate Older Michiganians Day.

I’m thrilled I was able to meet with so many local seniors,” LaSata said.  “The golden generation has given so much to our state and I’m proud to serve as a resource for them.”

Griffin said, “Seniors have given so much of their time and talent to make our communities a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to speak with them about how their state government can better serve them.”

Older Michiganians Day is an annual rally that takes place on the Capitol lawn.  The event brings together hundreds of seniors, aging service providers, and senior advocates to meet with their state legislators and talk about the issues facing seniors in Michigan.
