State Rep. Ben Glardon today announced the selection of the city of Owosso for a road funding grant of up to $352,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The award will be used for improvements on Gould Street from Corunna Avenue (M-71) to Main Street (M-21).
“These much needed funds will serve our community well and help to preserve safe travels for residents,” said Rep. Glardon, R-Owosso. “While there is still much to be done when it comes to the infrastructure of our state’s roads, this award is a step in the right direction toward seeing results close to home.”
Category F grants are competitive grants awarded from the Transportation Economic Development Fund to eligible road agencies to preserve, expand or improve road networks within urban areas of rural counties.
