Lawmaker tapped to chair subcommittee
State Rep. Anthony Forlini has been named to the House Appropriations Committee, and will serve as chair of the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Appropriations Subcommittee.
“Michigan has made great strides in reining in government spending, and I look forward to having a role in continuing that fiscal austerity,” said Forlini, R-Harrison Township. “I believe there are steps we can take to make state government more effective and efficient.”
In addition, Forlini will serve as vice chair of the Department of Environmental Quality Appropriations Subcommittee.
“I have fought hard to keep Lake St. Clair free of pollution, and believe I can continue that mission as vice chair of the DEQ panel,” Forlini said. “We must have sufficient funding to protect our natural resources while at the same time making the best use of taxpayer money.”
In addition, Forlini will serve on the Joint Capital Outlay, Community Colleges, and General Government subcommittees.
