Michigan’s recovery efforts are working. According to the latest news reports, our unemployment rate, job creation, household income and the economy are improving and Michiganders are getting back on their feet.
The Detroit News reported this week that household income increased significantly for the first time since before the recession in 2007.
August’s employment rates were also down to 7.4 percent—the lowest in several months—according to the Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives.
These numbers point to the fact that there are 4,000 additional hard-working taxpayers contributing to and improving the Great Lake State, which is something Michigan House Republicans work to do each day.
